Girl Scout Events at Fresh Cut

Join Fresh Cut by Shannon Family Farms this summer for activities geared toward Girl Scouts. Attend with your family or schedule a troop trip. Each visit you will receive a fun patch or join us for a badge workshop and earn a badge after the activity. Pre-registration is required so materials will be available. We are located just south of Crawfordsville, IN. Reach out to us with any questions or to schedule a private troop visit to meet a specific need. Stories & Stems

Catch a story time geared for elementary age kids under the shade trees of Fresh Cut and stick around to pick a kid sized bucket of flowers. Bring a blanket to spread out and relax while enjoying a different read-aloud book each week. Pack a lunch to enjoy after the flower picking and snap some pictures of your fun outing. Stories and Stems is priced per child in attendance that will be picking flowers. Younger or older children and parents are free to attend if not picking flowers.

Junior - Flowers

  • Join us to earn your Flower Badge - Flowers are so beautiful, we bring them from the outside into our homes to add cheer to a room. But there’s more to flowers than just good looks. Without them, plants could not make seeds, and scientists think the world would be much drier (and a lot less pretty). Dig up more flower secrets in this badge.

Flower Farm Tour, Agritourism Presentation, & Flower Picking

Target Audience: Cadettes, Seniors, & Ambassadors

Join fellow girl scouts for a tour and presentation of a working flower farm and agritourism destination. Learn insights about being an entrepreneur and running a seasonal business in agritourism. Finish the afternoon with a guided picking and flower arranging session. Each paid girl scout will take home a freshly picked mason jar flower arrangement that they had the opportunity to create.

Flower Farm Tour, Scavenger Hunt, & Flower Picking

Target Audience: Daisy, Brownie, & Juniors

Join fellow girl scouts for a tour of a working flower farm. Learn insights about growing flowers. Participate in a scavenger hunt over the 4 open acres of pastures and fields. Finish the afternoon with a guided picking and flower arranging session. Each paid girl scout will take home a freshly picked small vase arrangement or petal pail of flowers that they had the opportunity to create.
